Concert Intro

This is an introductory soundscape I made for the band Carnival Leave, a currently inactive project in which I play guitar. It contains the first recordings with my pedal steel guitar, which adds a lot of atmosphere to this soundtrack. The photo was taken in Kassel from the Hercules Monument.

Dystopian Soundtrack

Sometimes there is nothing more necessary than ambience to transport you to a place in your imagination. My inspiration for this came from Dune, Fallout 76, and The Silo. I took the photo in Munich in the English Garden.

I did the design and initial content of this website for one of my dearest friends, Vicky. She is an extraordinary voice teacher and person. For me, she treats voice like yoga, and this is probably what led to the design of this site. If you have the chance to take one of her singing classes, do it!

Gary Moore Tribute

When Gary Moore died I felt I had to learn one of his solos and put it on YouTube to honour his work. In the end I chose a solo from his hard rock era. The song is called "Shapes of Things to Come".

Lily

Just a photo I took of a dog that I love! Lily. 😍

Mediterranean Improv

This improvisation was recorded spontaneously on a very low tuned concert guitar. As I was about to visit Spain, there probably are some references to classical flamenco guitar. The photo shows an old cork tree typical of the south of Portugal.

Perfect Duck

Another day in the English Garden. This duck was extremely photogenic.

The World You Wanted

Since 2024 I play guitar in the Munich based death metal band The World You Wanted. The music is dense, gloomy, dystopian, and yet, alongside its destructive qualities, it contains the energy for new beginnings and change.

Loopholes

This is a transcription of the song Loopholes from "Landscapes Change" by my band Intended. It's quite suitable as a solo tune for acoustic guitar. Slight adjustments have been made to the ending for this transcription.

Tractor Pull

He was one of my absolute childhood heroes. Preston Reed is a phenomenal fingerstyle guitarist living in Scotland who has had a huge influence on my development. It feels wrong not to mention him here. It is an old recording of me playing one of his "two-handed tapping" tunes called Tractor Pull.
